This is based on the Bible but it's not exactly the Bible. Over a period of 40 days Jesus showed Himself again and again to many people. Trevor met with Peter one morning in Jerusalem and talked to him about this. "Oh Peter, I wish I could see Jesus like you, but every time He shows up I am not there. And I miss my friend Adreana and the centurion who have moved to Ceserea" Trevor complained. Peter said: "I am sorry you feel that way. Yes, it has been wonderful to see the Lord Jesus both here in Jerusalem and at home in Galilee. Let me encourage you by thinking about this. Unlike you, Thomas did not believe that Jesus rose from the dead, then eight days after the resurrection
Jesus came, the doors having been shut, and stood in their midst and said, "Peace be with you." Then He said to Thomas, "Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing." Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!" Jesus said to him, "Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed."
"I believe yet I have not seen Jesus!" Said Trevor. "That's right and you are blessed." added Peter. "Not only that, but I have some more good news for you. Jesus gathered us together and told us to stay here in Jerusalem and then He said:
John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now... you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.
"Wow! I hope the Holy Spirit will come to me." replied Trevor.
Jesus said "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you;..and you shall be My witnesses." When you receive Jesus as you Lord and Savior and are filled with the Holy Spirit you will witness Him in word and deed. That is exciting. The disciples know that Jesus is Lord. Trevor, Adreana and the Centurion know that Jesus is Lord but the Holy Spirit has not come yet. Jesus said His power would come not many days from now. Exciting times are coming. Great witnessing will happen because they will be filled with the Holy Spirit and power.
