Jesus Heals The Mad Man

A frightening man filled with demons lives in tombs away from other people in tombs.   Seeing Jesus from a distance, he ran up and bowed down before Him; and shouting with a loud voice, he said, "What business do we have with each other, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God, do not torment me!" For He had been saying to him, "Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!" And He was asking him, "What is your name?" And he said to Him, "My name is Legion; for we are many." And he began to implore Him earnestly not to send them out of the country. Now there was a large herd of swine feeding nearby on the mountain. The demons implored Him, saying, "Send us into the swine so that we may enter them." Jesus gave them permission. And coming out, the unclean spirits entered the swine; and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea, about two thousand of them; and they were drowned in the sea.   Jesus has power over demons. Because of sin this world has suffered. Many people, families and children have suffered and are suffering today because of sin. Jesus had the power to command the demons to stop making this poor man suffer. Jesus has the power today to take sin out of our lives and cast it away. Transgressions are those sins we commit against God.   For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him.   Do you fear or recognize Jesus as having Lordship over your life. Do you bow at Jesus' feet and know that He is Lord? This is called the fear of the Lord. Then Jesus will have compassion on you and will cast out your sin as far as the east is from the west. The good news is, Jesus has compassion on those who fear Him. Mark 5:6-13, Psalms 103:11-13(NASB)
