Hudson Taylor was a man of great vision and devotion to God. Hudson Taylor was born in 1832 and grew up in England. God called him to China where he faithfully served as a missionary for the majority of his life. He started a missionary organization called the China Inland Mission that encouraged many more missionaries to bring the good news of Jesus to millions of people in China. Hudson Taylor walked with God and in respect for the Chineese people he dressed just like them and lived among them. This week's story could be about Hudson Taylor but instead it is about one of his dear friends called Neng-Kuei. Neng-Kuei knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior because Hudson Taylor shared the good news with him. Our story this week is about how Neng-Kuei's life was changed because he let Jesus have control of his life.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.*
When you invite Jesus into your heart to become your Lord and Savior you become a new creature. As you allow Jesus' Holy Spirit to control your life you will be changing everyday and people will notice. The good news is that God wants to make everyone new and beautiful in His sight.
